2008 Cruise with the
Dream Team was the last of 14 cruises. It
was the best cruise ever, to Alaska,
on the upscale cruise line of Celebrity,
with Sandi Genovese, host of DIY Scrapbooking
(teaching her phenomenal specialty cards done with
stamping, not scrapbooking) and Cheryl
Darrow who is traveling the world
by demand showing her Ten
Seconds Studio program using metals
with stamping. Dee
had new instruction that she kept as a surprise.
Drolett calls it the Dream Team.
Dates were September
12-19, leaving from Seattle to Sitka,
Hubbard Glacier (cruising only), Juneau, Ketchikan,
beautiful Victoria and back to Seattle. Weather
was rainy but not too cold. Goodie bags were loaded.
This was all put together by Drolett-travel that
put together the Carol Duvall Cruises. Need I say
more? Oh, the price was in the ball park of what
it was for the Caribbean - beginning at $1102
- best price to Alaska we've seen and
$500 under some other cruises to the same
area. Alaska usually costs
much more and this is an upscale ship with fabulous
organizers. After launching, Warren Gruenig did
the coordination, instead of Drolett, to help keep
costs down.
The most special people went this time including
Roberta (Rubberta) Sperling and Michal milan, owners
and founders of Rubberstampmadness magazine so it
was like having 4 solid stars on board and not only
3.
